Flights between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to operate for the first time in 25 years

    Without precedent for over two decades, voyagers will soon be capable fly amongst Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Beginning on 20 February, once-week after week flights will work between Dushanbe – the capital city of Tajikistan – and Tashkent – the Uzbek capital.

    All air activity between the neighboring Central Asian nations was suspended in 1992, when the Tajikistani Civil War brought about pressures between the two, and what a few examiners named an ‘undeclared icy war’. In 2016, pressures seemed to straightforwardness taking after the passing of Uzbekistan’s leader, Islam Karimov, and the decision of his successor, President Shavkat Mirziyaev, who guaranteed to enhance relations amongst Uzbekistan and its neighbors.

    Somon Air, Tajikistan’s first private aircraft, will at first work week after week flights each Monday. Uzbekistan’s banner transporter, Uzbekistan Airways, arrangements to start flights on the course sooner rather than later if Somon Air’s endeavors demonstrate beneficial.
